= incremental development model
инкрементная модель [разработки ПО], модель постепенного приближения, метод "шаг за шагом"
одна из первых моделей разработки проекта программной системы, предусматривающая продвижение к конечной цели шагами, каждый из которых обеспечивает часть общей функциональности проекта; частям (подпроектам) назначаются приоритеты, причём каждая из них в ряде случаев разрабатывается согласно собственной мини V-модели (V-model). Таким образом, сначала реализуются самые базовые функции (минимальная функциональность), которые затем наращиваются новыми. Преимущество подхода - в любой момент времени имеется работающая система, недостаток - необходимость перепроектирования и переписывания исходных текстов при чрезмерном разрастании функциональности системы
